Yes, the book itself isn't included with the guide. LitPads is the companion study guide, so you'll want the book on hand. Most families borrow it from the library, buy a used copy, or grab an inexpensive paperback. We list the recommended edition on each guide's page. What's inside the guide varies by age and product type. See the next question for the details. Sam & Pip and The Caterpillar Week are the exception, because the story is printed inside.
